Orthopedic Surgeon Dimitrios Andronikos Apostolakos was born in Holargos, Attica, and grew up in Sparta, Laconia, where he completed his primary and secondary education with honors in 2002. After passing the national exams, he was admitted to the Medical School of Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, and after one year, he continued his studies at the Medical School of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, where he completed his studies in 2009 with a general grade of “Very Good.”
He then completed his rural service at the General Hospital of Kos for the 2009-2010 period. Afterward, he fulfilled his military service and then began his specialty training in Orthopedics, completing his general surgery rotation at the General Hospital of Chios and his orthopedic specialty training at the General Hospital of Rethymno, the Aglaia Kyriakou Children’s Hospital, and KAT Hospital in Athens, where he received his specialty title in 2017.
From 2017 to 2019, he continued practicing Orthopedics at KAT Hospital. Since 2019, he has been working at the Mediterranean Hospital of Cyprus, participating in all activities of the Orthopedic Department and performing a wide range of surgeries for the treatment of orthopedic trauma and the rehabilitation of chronic conditions.
