Dr. Christina Plastiara, a neurologist, graduated from the Medical School of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (1996-2003) and received her specialization in Neurology at the General Hospital “Evangelismos” (2013). After obtaining her specialization, she practiced neurology in her private practice (2013-2023). At the same time, she worked in private therapeutic institutions in Athens, focusing on the management of acute ischemic stroke. For three years (2014-2017), she was an external collaborator in the Neurology/Stroke Unit of the private institution “Metropolitan Hospital,” handling shifts in the Stroke Unit. For the last six years (2017-2023), she served as the attending physician at the Neurology Clinic and the Acute Stroke Unit at the Mediterraneo Hospital in Glyfada.
She has participated in numerous international and Greek neurological conferences, both as a speaker and as a member of the scientific committee, and has been involved in research studies. She is a member of the Greek Neurological Society, the Greek Society of Cerebrovascular Diseases, and the Cyprus Neurological Society.
Since the beginning of 2024, she has joined the team at Mediterranean Hospital of Cyprus, where she is actively involved in Neurology, providing outpatient clinic services, inpatient care, emergency neurological cases, and working in the Neurophysiology/Electroencephalography lab.
